The 8th annual Domain Name Wire Survey results are in and for the sixth year in a row, domain investors chose Escrow.com as their escrow service of choice. Payment option protects consumers and shippers from fraud

Orange County, CA. February 26, 2013

Escrow.com, the pioneer of online escrow services, and CitizenShipper.com, a leading online shipping marketplace, today announced a strategic relationship where Escrow.com will become the preferred method of payment and exclusive escrow provider for CitizenShipper.com transactions.

The strategic relationship is significant for CitizenShipper.com as they will now be able to offer equal protection for shippers, for non-payment, and consumers, for non-delivery of goods. "The adoption rate of consumer and business portals recommending Escrow.com has been significant," says Andrew K. Sokol - Escrow.com GM, Emerging Markets. He adds, "Working with the folks at CitizenShipper.com is proof again that these portals want to provide the safest and most secure environment possible."

CitizenShipper's goals are to reduce the US carbon footprint and save consumers money by matching shipments and moves with routes already mapped out by drivers, movers and truckers. And with 29% of trucks on the roads today driving empty (US Department of Transportation, 2012), Richard Obousy, CEO of CitizenShipper.com, says "With savings as high as 90% over traditional shipping more and more people are coming to CitizenShipper to ship their stuff." Obousy continues, "By working with Escrow.com we further our ambition to create a secure marketplace and a safe environment for transactions."

When using Escrow.com, Shippers are protected against non-payment and Consumers are protected against non-delivery of goods. It takes minutes to set up a transaction and once both parties agree to the terms, the Consumer is instructed to make payment to Escrow.com. Once funds have been secured Escrow.com notifies the Shipper to pick up and deliver the goods. Upon delivery, the Consumer then logs back on to Escrow.com to confirm acceptance of the goods.

Brandon Abbey - Escrow.com President and Managing Director says, "Like other verticals in the eCommerce space, the shipping and moving industry has had significant issues with fraud." Abbey adds, "We provide a risk-free solution that protects both sides of the transaction equally. I envision Consumers asking to use our service and Shippers offering it as the only secure payment option available. We look forward to a long term and successful partnership with CitizenShipper."
