How Escrow.com & eBay Work Together
Escrow.com keeps the transactions secure as part of eBay Authenticity Guarantee Process
-
1. Browse eBay's luxury watch marketplace, looking for listings with the Authenticity Guarantee, then find your favorite piece.
-
2. Negotiate the terms of the sale with the Buyer and make the payment as usual. If the sales price is $10,000 or more, then the payment will now be facilitated by Escrow.com. The world's leading provider of online escrow services. -
3. The Seller then sends the watch directly to a third-party authenticator who will fully-inspect the item, verifying its authenticity. All authentications are carried out within two business days of receipt.
-
4. Upon successful verification, the item will be shipped via a two-day, signed for consignment. If the item cannot be successfully verified, it will be sent back to the Seller, and a full refund will be issued.
Escrow.com's Process with Luxury Watches on eBay
-
The Buyer Initiates a Purchase Through eBay. eBay covers any fees charged by Escrow.com for use of their service.
-
The Buyer Funds Escrow.com Account. The Buyer sends a payment to Escrow and deposits the agreed-upon amount via Escrow.com. Escrow.com then verifies the payment and notifies the Seller.
-
The Seller Ships the Watch to the Buyer. After payment verification, Escrow.com notifies the Seller to send the watch and tracking information to the Buyer.
-
The Buyer Inspects and Accepts the Watch. The Buyer inspects the watch and has the option to accept or reject the watch.
-
The Seller is Paid by Escrow.com. The Seller is paid via Escrow and receives the payment when both parties are satisfied with the transaction. The transaction is complete and Escrow.com releases the payment to the Seller.
